I’m passionate about the topic of developing one’s authentic self because for so many decades I wasn’t awake to it. I can go on for hours and hours about the pain and ills of not being authentic — living your life for an image for everyone else’s sake but your own. But, I’ll spare you that drudgery today.

Let’s look at the positives. When you start to identify your authentic values, your true passions, talents and purpose for being on this planet, you wake up turned on. You’re jazzed to get about the day because you know what you are driving toward and why. You know that you want to  serve the world in a particular way, in a way in which no one else can do  quite the same. As the practice of being authentic becomes more ingrained, you still hear all the fear-based thoughts but can discern if they are a call for a needed course-alteration or just old tapes (inherited somewhere along the way) bent on convincing you that your not good enough, lovable enough, smart enough, etc.  Those voices will become quieter and quieter on this path. And for that reason, run, don’t walk, toward your authentic self. You are already brilliant. Nothing needs to be added or subtracted. Boldly define who you want to be in this world and charge toward that. It is your soul’s calling. Blessings!
